After the freeze of 1991, the fertility of the vineyard was particularly elevated, which seemed to announce an abundant crop, difficult to ripen, all the more so because summer was rainy. The year 1992 was a « vintner’s vintage » : proper management of the vines was even more critical than usual in order to procure from the grapes their highest potential.
Because of our precocious terroir, healthy grapes were harvested before having to suffer anew the heavy rains that fell in the second half of October. From the cultivation methods, vinification, as well as rigorous final blending choices, were produced wines of much higher quality than the climatic conditions would have led one to expect possible.
The wines are drinkable now, they are ripe, complex, expressing finesse and charm.
