By August the basic characteristic of the vintage was known : the end of winter and the beginning of spring were particularly dry and sunny, in such a way that the vegetative cycle was exceptionally precocious. Bloom came in May, but was very uneven. The harvest began on September 10th. Maturation benefited from longer daylight hours and higher temperatures than usual. The wine is generous, supple, with low acidity, in the style of the 1989 vintage. This wine is distinguished by its great elegance and its elegant aromas, deserving of its place among the great vintages. The tannins are smooth, of outstanding nobility.
